Its been quite a busy week in Christchurch. We’ve had an announcement that were at quite a high risk of having yet another quake, but this isnt likely to hit the city, hard to make sense of all the prediction models and math the geo people are using.
Weather has been fantastic giving us clear skies but Tuesday night we had a little cloud resulting in a gorgeous sunset captured over on southshore estuary side of the sandbanks (7D, 17-55, 0.6 reverse ND, 0.3 soft ND, 0.9 ND ).
This picture is also my second on flickr that I’ve uploaded first there. Flickr seems much improved over last time I had a look.
BTW the first is here and seems well enough liked!

I’ve been working on a couple of BUPA projects, 25 framed prints for one installation ( building work isnt complete yet so trying to work out what can be hung when) and a further 72 prints for Parklands hospital , most of these will be A1 canvas prints.
To try and hurry up the processing of all of those I’ve built myself a new PC as the old one struggled with all the photoshop work. Not done much more than get it installed as yet but it seems a bit of a beast! Pics to follow sometime!
I’ve also turned 40. Celebrated with a weekend in Ashburton! Great food and wine at the Braided rivers restaurant with Mel and Giles then on Sunday we went to Ashburton Lakes which is a fantastic spot, looking forward to going up there in some more photogenic weather, may end up posting some pics from that trip if any are good enough.
Queens birthday weekend is coming up, no snow on the mountains for snofun so I will be working images, sorting out the new PC and hopefully getting out to capture more images of this beautiful country!
