A trip round the bays

The Lyttelton inlet has many small bays and piers, a sunny March day makes for an ideal trip out.

Whilst not the best light for photography a beautiful sunny day shouldn’t go to waste. So my wife and I headed out to explore the small bays around the Lyttelton inlet and ended up at Pigeon Bay on Banks Peninsula. There’s a great little camp ground there and a decent walk around the headlands worth a future trip.

Charteris bay, one of a number of jetty’s.

A shag posed for us at the jetty, 7D and 70-200.

And a Heron at the same pier.

A large jetty at the boathouse in Pigeon Bay.

A beautiful Banks Peninsula scene.
